Human trafficking continues to impact lives across Southeastern North Carolina. It reaches into
every community, often hidden in places where people least expect it. Addressing this issue
requires a coordinated and compassionate response that connects law enforcement, social
services, medical professionals, faith-based organizations, and community advocates.

Stand Against Trafficking USA (StATUSA) and the Women’s Life Center are helping lead this effort through the Southeastern Region Human Trafficking Multidisciplinary Response Team, a growing collaboration built on shared purpose,
mutual respect, and a commitment to protect those at risk.

Working Together for Stronger Protection
The mission of the multidisciplinary response team is simple but powerful: bring key partners
together to respond to human trafficking with unity, strategy, and compassion.

Each partner plays a vital role:
● Law enforcement identifies and investigates trafficking cases.
● Medical professionals provide trauma-informed care for victims.
● Social service providers offer stability through housing, counseling, and recovery
programs.
● Nonprofits and faith-based partners walk beside survivors on the road to healing.
When these groups coordinate efforts, survivors receive better care and communities become
safer. This level of community collaboration is what strengthens the entire regional
anti-trafficking initiative.

Faith at the Center of the Mission
Faith guides everything we do at StATUSA and the Women’s Life Center. Each person involved in this effort
believes that every life has value and every story deserves hope. Through prayer, mentorship,
and consistent community action, faith becomes the foundation that supports our response
team’s work.
This approach allows the Southeastern NC human coalition and multidisciplinary response team to focus on both justice
and restoration. It reminds us that the goal is not only to stop trafficking but also to help
survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.
Building a Network That Lasts
The first collaborative meeting will begin soon, marking an important step in the development of
this multidisciplinary response team. Each conversation helps identify new ways to share
resources, strengthen training, and create a unified voice against trafficking.
This ongoing effort will shape how communities across Southeastern North Carolina respond to
crisis and how survivors find safety and support. Together, these partnerships can create a
model of cooperation that other regions can follow.

Join the Movement
There is space for everyone in this mission. Community members, professionals, and faith
leaders are invited to connect with the Southeastern Region Human Trafficking Response
Team. Each voice helps expand awareness, provide education, and build a future where
trafficking has no place to hide.
